Black Dyke Junior and Youth Quartets visit Singapore

The Black Dyke Junior and Youth Trombone Quartets are looking forward to a trip of a lifetime as they fly to Singapore to feature in the Singapore Low Brass Festival on the 16th-18th November 2016. The festival takes place at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in downtown Singapore, and other artists involved in this years event include Gary Curtin, Matyas Veer, Oystein Baadsvik and Jorgen van Rijen.
Brett Baker is the Low Brass Festival Director “The Festival Organiser, Ben Pei from Music Elements and myself thought we would change the time of the festival from the July to November and this has allowed the event to grow and feature some very exciting artists. Last year the Black Dyke Senior Trombone Quartet took part and so I'm very proud to now feature the youth and junior quartets. Those travelling to the festival from the UK are Hannah Stell, Gemma Riley, Carl Ashworth, Ian Ashworth, Josh Barber, Lloyd Brown, Joseph Heartfield and Adam Warburton. A three hour rehearsal took place last weekend at the University of Salford and we are now ready to perform in two festival concerts”
