Brett Baker celebrates his 40th Birthday in style at Bristol Cathedral next week where he is attempting to get as many as 1000 trombone players to play at lunch time in a mass blow on Tuesday 2nd July. The idea came to him when a recital slot became available on his birthday at the end of last year with in Cathedrals recital series.
“I am very excited about the gathering of players which so far is around 250 players if they all turn up with an age range from 8-80, even some members of the British Army will attend in full uniform to take part in the massed blow”.
Composers who have written items for the recital at 1.15pm include Will Gregory, Liz lane and Dr. Richard Rock. Before hand Brett will play a couple of items with accompanist Ruth Webb as part of the recital before the massed trombone choir uses the full acoustic inside the Cathedral.
Anyone wanting to take part should email Brett on email@example.com
